Across professor Bonk's research, teaching, and service activities, he has attempted to inspire practicing teachers, students, college instructors, trainers, and administrators by promoting innovative practices with emerging educational technologies. Professor Bonk is deeply committed to expanding access to education through nontraditional means such as Web-based instruction, videoconferencing, computer conferencing, and courses and workshops taught directly in schools and workplaces. Professor Bonk feels fortunate that some of his pedagogical experimentations with technology now serve as models for teachers both in Indiana and around the globe. Dr. Bonk often advises his graduate students to try to "make a dent" when they leave Indiana University. Professor Bonk has tried to do the same back here at IU and beyond.
